Preventing Swollen Gums At Its First Sign
At the first sign of swollen gums, there is something stuck in between the teeth and gums and inflammation can spread below the gum line affecting the gum tissues and bones. When swollen gums are left untreated they will be painful to the touch and will feel like they are infected. Usually swollen gums are bright red or very shiny, but can sometimes look whitish due to infection or pressure. Swollen gums can be usually recognize at its early stage when eating and brushing when the affected area is painful when in contact with. Swollen gums may indicate early stages of gum disease, gums may appear dark red and inflamed.Any noticeable build up of plaque or tartar is an indication that gum disease such as gingivitis may be causing your swollen gums.
